Description
Hydra+ is a real-food energy and electrolyte drink mix that provides your body with the electrolytes and carbohydrates it needs to absorb water and kickstart your recovery, so your performance doesn’t suffer. You can use it to replenish your sodium and sugar levels during shorter, higher-intensity training, or adjust it to help you maintain optimal hydration status during longer, lower-intensity sessions. Hydra+ tastes like fruit juice and doesn’t contain too much salt like other sports drinks do, which negatively impacts your performance.

More About Hydra+
The Basics
Is Hydra+ better than a typical sports drink?
Yes! Most sports drink brands would have you believe you need to avoid dehydration at all costs and replace the salt lost in your sweat to perform your best, but research shows this isn’t the case. Studies show that the body is very capable of handling mild dehydration and that the loss of water weight can improve your performance. The process of deliberately keeping yourself 0–2% dehydrated to achieve this benefit is called tactical dehydration.
How do I take Hydra+ for the best results?
For shorter, high-intensity training sessions (~1h), mix 1 scoop with 8oz (1 cup) of water and sip while training.
For longer, lower-intensity training sessions (~2h+) and/or in hot climates, mix 1 scoop with 16oz (2 cups) of water for each hour of training and sip throughout your session.
Hydra+ is also ideal for hydration support in hot climates even when you’re not training.
Check out our Hydra+ User Guide for more detailed usage instructions.
How will Hydra+ support my performance?
When you take Hydra+, you’re supporting your body in performing its best by providing a balance of electrolytes and carbohydrates that mimics the body’s natural hydration state, making it easier to maintain your performance over longer periods.
This balance of electrolytes and carbohydrates also helps your body start the recovery process after an intense training session.
For comprehensive performance support, use Hydra+ alongside our other support products like Egg White Protein Isolate and Multivit+.

What the Research Shows
Carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks are better for dehydration than water alone
A carbohydrate-electrolyte drink is better at treating exercise-induced dehydration than water alone and is an effective alternative when real food isn't available. Drinking carbohydrate-electrolyte solutions with 4-9% carbohydrate content are ideal for rehydration after exercise-induced dehydration.
Dehydration from training causes blood sodium levels to go up, not down
Data from an extensive 2005 study on 2,153 competing endurance athletes shows that sodium levels tend to be higher in those who are the most dehydrated (those who lost the most body weight during races).
Consuming additional salt doesn't impact blood sodium levels
Studies have shown that consuming sodium has little impact on blood sodium levels. Athletes need to focus on a comprehensive hydration strategy rather than relying solely on sodium intake. This includes considering overall electrolyte balance and individual factors such as sweat rate and exercise intensity.
