Yes! Most sports drink brands would have you believe you need to avoid dehydration at all costs and replace the salt lost in your sweat to perform your best, but research shows this isn’t the case. Studies show that the body is very capable of handling mild dehydration and that the loss of water weight can improve your performance. The process of deliberately keeping yourself 0–2% dehydrated to achieve this benefit is called tactical dehydration.

How do I take Hydra+ for the best results?

For shorter, high-intensity training sessions (~1h), mix 1 scoop with 8oz (1 cup) of water and sip while training.

For longer, lower-intensity training sessions (~2h+) and/or in hot climates, mix 1 scoop with 16oz (2 cups) of water for each hour of training and sip throughout your session.

Carbohydrate-electrolyte drinks are better for dehydration than water alone

A carbohydrate-electrolyte drink is better at treating exercise-induced dehydration than water alone and is an effective alternative when real food isn't available.
