Beta alanine increases muscle endurance by buffering the buildup of lactic acid in the muscle during high intensity training.
This enables you to go that extra few reps, meters or seconds more before fatiguing
It also enables you to work at a higher intensity (increases your lactate threshold)- so a little faster on the assault bike for example.
Beta alanine has also been shown to enhance running (10K time)
