Protein, it's everywhere!

I don't want to be biased, but if you want to stay lean, gain muscle, and keep your performance top-notch, thinking about your protein sources is important. Too many people chug four protein shakes every day because they don't have time to prep meals, but eating "real food" as your main protein source is necessary for muscle development and repair. Check out this list of some ways to get your protein without forcing down grilled chicken six days a week. Protein is in grams per serving of each.

Generally, protein needs are estimated around 0.8g/kg of body weight, so to get the recommended amount, a protein shake here or there is necessary, but like everything, moderation is key. The best protein sources are those that contain all nine essential amino acids, the building blocks of protein, more often found in animal-based protein sources than plant.
