Blonyx athlete update December 2012

1. Nate Schrader

Nate competed at the Outlaw Open in December and took 4th despite recovering from illness and a back injury. Soldier through and through! At the competition Nate got a PR DL for 5 of #490. BTW, this is Nate's version of down time pre-regionals. WOW.

Nate Schrader2.  Blair Morrison

Blair has been focusing on building the ******** Anywhere empire, opening two new locations in CA (one in el dorado hills and one in Roseville) and has a third planned for S.America in the next few months. Blair is an inspiration to anyone wanting to turn their passion into a business.

Training-wise, Blair hit #255 on snatch and #430 on back squat. He is back to program this month's Sac-Town Throwdown too which promises to be an awesome event this year. Blair boasts more ultra-creative WODs this year. Can't wait!

3. Jenn Jones

Jenn sent us this awesome email at the end of last year! This is going to be her year!

"I've been working hard doing a lot of 2 a day’s yet still recovering great thanks to Blonyx.  This past month I've hit a Push press PR of 175#, and Jerk PR at 225# with a near 235# attempt. OH squat of 205# too :)

"I have 2 comps coming up next month.  I'll be doing a competition with Leah Shullenberger The H-Town Throwdown Jan 5th and then I'll be going to the OC Throwdown Jan 12th and 13th."

Good luck Jenn. We'll be watching from the sidelines

4. Noah Pester

Noah's ******** Marysville is growing so fast we can't keep up. An additional 2000sqft is being added in the next few months.

Invictus (and Blonyx) athlete Noah reported some great gains this month too: Snatch #245, C&J #310, Back squat #405, Front squat #375 and "Amanda" 3:49. Getting up there for games season!

5. Alicia Connors and Steve Howell

December is well known in the BC ******** calendar as the month of the Taranis Winter Challenge. On her home turf, Alicia took second place after leading the field for much of the competition. Steve was not competing this time after consulting with coach CJ Martin of Invictus fame and deciding its time to take a year out and focus on the 2014 games.

Steve is up against formidable competition in Canada West with elite athlete Lucas Parker and the super-strong Jeremy Meredith repeatedly taking the top two spots over the last few years. Steve will be focusing on strength and will no doubt come back with a bang in 2014. Can't wait to see the results Steve!
